Key scripture: Ezra 4:1-5 It's really easy to get up in front of people and perform. The sound is just right, lights dim, outfit on point, the hearts are heavy and ready to receive whatever you release. Have you ever thought what if it's their last chance to get it right before God? What if they came because they needed to hear from God before they committed suicide, robbed a bank, or got high for the last time. What if your voice was the one they were assigned to? Your stance as a worship leader is important.
So, why do you worship? In Ezra 4 they are rebuilding the temple. The leaders didn't allow everyone to have a part in building. This was because they didn't have a relationship with the person the building was being created for! So the next time you grab the mic or pick up flags think am I doing this because I want to be seen or because I know I am an instrument of worship planted in the earth.
