The main element in any relationship is trust. How can you build with someone if there is no trust? The word trust means firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. In order to move within the intimate realm of worship you must trust God. You have to rely on the Holy Spirit to help you navigate what the people need and how to achieve it. You will need to have a true motive of intercession within worship for the people. You must be able to flow with the shift of worship. You must be strong enough to engage in warfare if that is what is needed. How do you get these qualities? It's simple. You ask God to give you the capacity to trust him.
Matthew 8:23-27 NLT Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples. Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm. The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey him!
In Matthew, we see a storm has risen and it causes everyone to panic. You only panic when you have not prepared. As a worship leader you not only practice your gift (dance, instrument, or voice) but you exercise your faith (prayer, reading the word and mediating).
Prayer: Lord, help me move in Lord help me to trust you completely. Show me the areas that I am not completely trusting you. Help me to prepare before the storm rise. Guide me on when to shift within worship. Give insight on how to strengthen my gift. In Jesus Name Amen
